Oh and this quote that I heard for the first time the other day-- "My right to swing my arm ends where the other man's nose begins." Oliver Wendall Holmes. I like it.
The guys after union meeting at Browns
Levi and Gilbert
Lily had to bring her backpack of toys that couldn't be left behind on our walk
Playing with the Martins
Future grapes
Orianna picking flowers
Lily
They have umbrellas as parasols
I don't know what these are, but they smell fantastic!
The inside of poppies are actually sort of grotesteque
This is what Lily did to her wagonwheel pasta when I wasn't looking
These pictures following are from our little point an shoot camera that Orianna generally takes pictures on and I don't download the pictures very often. So they are completely random.
I took this one actually
Her first self portrait--so charming
I don't know if Lily is trying to smile here, but she looks puzzled

Hmmm, future engineer in the works...that what the wagon wheel project reminds me of! Love when kids take their self-portraits!!! Abigail is so behind in getting her pictures caught up. Hopefully this summer she will. Good to hear from ya'!
Oh, the smelling tree...likely a Locust. Does it have little spikey things all up and down the branches? If it does, then, yes, it's a locust. They do smell nice!
Lily's face in Orianna's self portrait kills me. Hilarious! And are the Martins the owners of Martin's Store?
I love the self-portrait! And all the pictures. And I didn't find a picture-y post boring, but that's all I usually do!
I do love all the photos, but your writing is fun to read too- usually funny, and not all braggy like some. Those last two pictures gave Tyler & I a very good laugh this morning. Hey, I downloaded google chrome like you said.... think I can leave this comment now?!!?! =)
Yay, you are so helpful, I was so annoyed at not being able to leave comments on some blogs! Thanks a milliion!!! =)
The Martins ARE the Martins that own the store. The girls played in the office, which is inside the store, inside a train car that for some reason is built into the store. They have a marvelous time. Glad chrome worked, Lisa! I have no idea why the other browsers don't, but at least something works! I will have to investigate the locust tree thing, Rebekah! Clever!
