Wedding reception

When we got up from the ceremony, the wind had died down and the tables were no longer trying to peel off the tablecloths.

Two cute and silly Douglas girls

Aunt Geri made little labels for all the pies

Stephanie made the table gorgeous

Philip's work with the TV made it quite nice.

The first time Cody and Amanda interacted on facebook was immortalized in a frame.

Drinks and silverware table

Funny story--Cody wanted all the kids to sign Caleb's cast (it broke before the weekend, not during), so he got some markers and had all the kids come to the cabin to sign it Sunday evening. Then the door malfunctioned and no one could get out of the cabin. There was a lot of teasing about Cody spending his wedding night there. But a well aimed kick apparently got the door lock to behave itself and all was well again.

It was quite pretty and laidback!

Telling people how to go through the buffet line

Lots of friends and visiting!

Uncle Scott and Aunt Geri

Chris and Wayne

Wayne and Sheena and girls. Brynn was feeling a bit overwhelmed at this point.

So everyone tried to get her to smile. So she decided to eat her knuckle in response.

But finally, a tiny, grudging smile for Grammy

Hoyt-boy

Happy girl!

The sky was so obligingly dramatic!

Trying to wrangle everyone for a Vaughan-Douglas family picture that has never happened before.

Moving everyone around

John Schneider decided to join the family

Unfortunately, the professional photographer arranged Dad so she could see him, but he was hidden from view by Uncle Scott's head.

All of us! And Dad's shoulder

Kara making a "toast"

Scott Porter making it clear that Cody got married with a "precondition" of a road trip in a few more years.

Pie ceremony

It was very polite and civilized!

Amanda's pie

Telling Livie it was perfect!

The opening of the pie line was announced and there was a general rush in that direction.

Scott and the Leroy and Jet Forsberg

Tyler and Cody have been frenemies since forever, insulting, belittling, and generally making fun of each other. So when Tyler congratulated Cody after the wedding, he said he really couldn't say anything but congratulations. Cody told him he really almost liked him. It was an awkward moment and then they went back to insulting each other comfortably.

Owen and Tyler P getting in the way of the sunset

It was a lovely one!

Philip and Justin

The original motorcycle gang, who took a 10,000 mile motorcycle roadtrip in.... 2007 I think?

Telling tales

It was such a nice day of talking and loving and laughing.

At dusk, tables and chairs were whisked into where ever they needed to be put. People are so helpful!

Lisa and Tyler, just three days away from celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary!

It really was! We were so lucky--Cody and Amanda and her family saw to all the details and we just showed up to hang out for the weekend! So lovely.

I've seen most of these pictures, or some quite like it I should say, but the captions are extremely helpful!!
