When we got to the lodge after lunch and a parade, a lot of work had already been happening. Anthony had already had 20 some pies and cheesecakes done.
He also had several large pots of beans on the stove, bubbling into goodness!

Everyone had to get out and explore. It was a pretty fabulous place! I think there were 12 cabins and the huge main lodge house, so there was plenty of room for the whole Vaughan and Douglas family to spread out!

I mostly wandered around and took pictures and did little real work. I am that kind of person.

The water was pretty cold, the beach rocky, and the wind unexpected, but everyone had fun paddling around. And the rocks!!! I think all the kids collected about 94 each for their rock collections. There was definitely some volcanic rocks, pumice, multi-colored, deep orange, striped.... oh, they had fun!

Not to be outdone, Philip and Owen tried to show us their synchronized kayaking skills, but they were lackluster.

Elsie and Hoyt hadn't seen each other in two weeks, so they were pretty thrilled to be together again!

When we heard Cody and Amanda were only a few miles out, we all piled out into the front yard to wait for them.
And here they are!
A lot of excited nieces and nephews running to hug them.
Cody decided to drive his Oldsmobile to tow the pig roaster through the Rocky Mountains. This meant his car kept overheating. So they arrived a little later than planned.
But what would a Cody Vaughan wedding be without a car mishap story involved?
